Small-batch ghee, slow-churned from the milk of pasture-raised cows — the way it has been made for generations.
Since 1948
In 1948, on the sacred banks of the River Ganga, in a small village nestled in the heart of Bihar, a humble tradition began.
Over a wood-fired flame, a pot of fresh whole milk was transformed with patience and care. As it slowly turned from white to a rich golden yellow, its texture became velvety, its aroma filled the air, and its taste reflected the richness of generations of wisdom. That day marked the first batch of what would become BILOVA Pure Desi Ghee.
For our family, ghee was never something to be manufactured. It was a ritual to be honoured—crafted slowly, quietly, and without compromise. Every batch reflected a commitment to purity, patience, and authenticity rather than speed or scale.
More than seventy-five years later, that philosophy remains unchanged.

Every jar of BILOVA begins with whole milk from pasture-raised, naturally fed cows. Using the traditional slow-churning process passed down through generations, we transform milk into ghee the same way our ancestors did—without shortcuts, artificial additives, or industrial methods.
The world around us has changed. Our family has grown. The number of homes we serve has increased.
But the fire that started it all still burns in our hearts.
At BILOVA, we believe true quality cannot be rushed. It is earned through time, craftsmanship, and respect for tradition. Every golden spoonful carries the legacy of our beginnings on the banks of the Ganga and the promise to preserve that heritage for generations to come.
Pure. Traditional. Authentic. Since 1948.
Chapter II
Great ghee begins long before the flame is lit.
At BILOVA, we use pure cow's milk. We believe cow's milk produces a lighter, more aromatic ghee with the rich golden hue and delicate flavour that have defined traditional Indian ghee for generations.
Every batch is prepared in food-grade stainless steel vessels, ensuring purity and hygiene while preserving the integrity of the process. We choose materials that protect quality without altering tradition.
Our ghee is slow-cooked over fire, never rushed by haste. Time, gentle heat, and patience allow the butter to transform naturally, developing its characteristic aroma, deep flavour, and golden colour. There are no shortcuts, no artificial accelerators, and no compromise.
The result is ghee crafted the way it has always been meant to be—pure, authentic, and full of character.
Every jar honours the timeless traditions of ghee making, carrying forward a legacy of patience, purity, and craftsmanship.
“The fire that started it all still burns in our hearts.”
